The Magnetic Fields: Realism

Filed under: Rock — Tags: — Alex @ 11:19 am

A few weeks ago the new Magnetic Fields album titled Realism was released and accompanied by the start of a North American Tour that includes 12 US cities. This is the band’s tenth studio album since their debut way back in 1991 and is meant to complement their 2008 album Distortion. Singer-songwriter Stephin Merritt of the Field’s says the album is inspired by British folk of the late 60s and early 70s. Don’t expect anything too traditional though since Merritt says he “can’t stand the sound of an acoustic guitar for more than three minutes at a time”.
