After nearly three years of single leaks and audience titillation, the new Big Boi album is a few months away. The latest leak from the album is the track shutterbugg which uses an interesting vocal effect which may or may not have been achieved using a talkbox.

It’s been a while since I have heard from Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim and now Brighton Port Authority, but this mashup by White Panda combines the 1999 hit Praise You with Outkast’s Roses, Rosa Parks and Da Art of Storytelling: Part I with a delightful result. By the way we are STILL waiting for those three Outkast albums to come out… the Big Boi solo album I believe is due out in May.

The South’s got something to say “We’re Back”

The rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. By that I mean, there was no demise, just a hap hazard migration of servers and inconvenient bout of sickness. Anyways, the blog is back up and running and guess who else is back? Outkast.
Big Boi said it himself.

“The South got something to say, and we gonna keep on talking,”

That’s right we can all expect three albums from Outkast in 2009. One as Oukast and two solo albums from Andre 3000 and Big Boi. Here’s and older but unappreciated track featuring collaboration between Andre 3000 and Norah Jones.

This week I spent a lot of time at work digging through streaming mixtapes for something fresh. I ended up on the Mad Decent blog listening to The Heatwave on Kiss and instead I found some older Outkast track that seems to be very under hyped and under appreciated. Don’t worry I also have something new, but sorry nothing blue. Of course, its a Kanye West track. He doesn’t seem to be able to resist leaking a new song every week. Here is a very 80’s very auto tuned Robocop. The track listing for 808’s and Heartbreak is also out.

1. “Welcome to Heartbreak”
2. “Heartless” – 3:30
3. “Love Lockdown” – 4:31
4. “Robocop” – 3:53
5. “Anyway”
6. “Streetlights”
7. “Say You Will”
8. “Real Bad News”
9. “Amazing” (featuring Young Jeezy)
10. “Tell Everybody That You Know” (featuring Lil Wayne)
11. “Coldest Winter” – 2:48

I stumbled upon Diplo’s Fabric live set at a friend’s house the other night and as I’ve been informed this set put Diplo on the map way back when. If you don’t know already, Fabric is a club in London famous for its legendary shows and limited releases of the sets played there. These are some track’s from Diplo’s Fabric Live 24 set, enjoy.
