Panzah Zandahz Radiohead Remixes

Panzah Zandahz

This Radiohead remix is relatively old to the internet but new to me. It’s from a entire remix album called Me and This Army: Radiohead Remix which features some hip hop mashups and electronic remixes of some classic Radiohead songs. There is also a version of creep done with a robotic voice instead of good old Thom.

I present to you, a glass of ice tea and sangria from the patio of Frites Alors on St Lo circa summer 2008. Let this photo and this song remind you that the winter months will be over soon and the streets of Montreal will once again belong to whoever claims them. songs via bonafied

Oh and don’t forget, Lykke Li is today at Club Soda. See you there.

Richard Cheese Lounge Covers

The Cheese

Who is Richard Cheese? A fictional character? A real character? Mass hysteria? Yes and No, he’s a lounge singer from that city of cities, Las Vegas. Self proclaimed hardest working dick in show business, the man has taken a great lounge act and turned into a great lounge act people will listen to outside of a Vegas cocktail bar.

He even hosted a short lived Karaoke themed MTV show. Wait, MTV Karaoke show = Flop, American Idol = Global ratings sensation? If there’s a difference I can’t see it. Mr. Cheese and his band even played at Travis Barker’s (first) wedding.

It seems that he’s also made quite a name for himself pissing people off and has earned the nickname Dick in the minds of some individuals. Like this one, this one and this one. Apparently Richard Cheese has a clause in his contracts which specify absolutely no unauthorized video recordings of his performances and when this isn’t enforced he likes to spit on people and smash their cameras.

These tracks are from the album Lounge Against the Machine, I think there are others…whatever.

Monday Re up #10: 100th post extravaganza

This week’s Monday Re up marks the 100th post in this blog’s history and as a result ya’ll are being treated to an extra large portion of songs to keep your toes tapping and fingers snapping throughout the week.

First of I came across this Lykke Li video of her performing Dance Dance Dance with none other than Bon Iver. Watch her shake her accessories about and flail around in the most memorizing of ways. The footage is shot in a kind of purposefully erratic way which for whatever reason ends up working wonderfully.

Also this week we’ve got the best Love Lockdown remix of the hundreds that surfaced from Kanye’s stem experiment and an old (but great) kick push remix that I’ve been listening to lately. Enjoy the week.

Girl Talk Feeds the Animals

Filed under: DJ Sets, Mash ups — Tags: , — Alex @ 10:57 am

Gregg Gillis has fed the animals, and my appetite for an unreasonably fun, insurmountably catchy summer mashup album. I doubt I was alone in holding my breath in anticipation of a new Girltalk album. Surely it would fall short to the high standards Night Ripper set… After listening to the album about 10 times through over the last two days, I’m prepared to say that it is every bit as catchy and well though out as Night Ripper. In fact I’m prepared to say it’s even better.

Taking a page from the book of Radiohead, Feed the Animals is available online on a pay what you can basis. Paying less than 5$ will get you the album in mp3 format, paying 5$ or more will get you the mp3’s, the FLAC files and a single mp3 with the whole album mixed. Paying 10$ or more will get you all that and a physical copy of the CD once it comes out. Download it here.
